• Bachelor’s degree from a university recognised by the Higher Education Commission (HEC).

• Successful completion of a 6-weeks Basic IT Training Course (including MS Office) conducted by the National Information Technology Board (NITB) is mandatory before expiry of the probation period; otherwise, the services of the appointee(s) will be terminated without any notice.

• Age limit: minimum 18 years, maximum 28 + 5 = 33 years (5 years general relaxation already included).

Stenotypist (BPS-14)

• Intermediate.

• Minimum speed of 80/40 words per minute in shorthand/typing respectively.

• Must be computer literate.

• Age limit: minimum 18 years, maximum 25 + 5 = 30 years (5 years general relaxation already included).

Upper Division Clerk – UDC (BPS-13)

• Intermediate.

• Successful completion of a 3-weeks Basic IT Training Course (including MS Office) conducted by the NITB is mandatory before expiry of the probation period; otherwise, the services of the appointee(s) will be terminated without any notice.

• Age limit: minimum 18 years, maximum 25 + 5 = 30 years (5 years general relaxation already included).

Lower Division Clerk – LDC (BPS-11)

• Matric.

• Minimum typing speed of 30 words per minute.

• Successful completion of a 3-weeks Basic IT Training Course (including MS Office) conducted by the NITB is mandatory before expiry of the probation period; otherwise, the services of the appointee(s) will be terminated without any notice.

• Age limit: minimum 18 years, maximum 25 + 5 = 30 years (5 years general relaxation already included).

Age Relaxation (Additional)

Five years general relaxation in the upper age limit is already included in the age limits above, in terms of Establishment Division O.M. No. 9/2/91-R-5 dated 24th June 2010.

In addition, the following relaxation is admissible under Establishment Division SRO No. 1004(I)/2016 dated 28th October 2016 and O.M. dated 22.10.2026:

• Candidates belonging to Balochistan for posts in BPS-15 and below under the Federal Government: 05 years age relaxation, in terms of Establishment Division O.M. dated 22.10.2026 for candidates from Balochistan.

• Released or retired officers/persons of the Armed Forces of Pakistan: 15 years, or the number of years actually served in the Armed Forces, whichever is less.

• Government servants who have completed at least 02 years’ continuous government service on the closing date of receipt of applications: 10 years, up to the age of 55 years.

• Disabled persons for appointment to posts in BPS-15 and below: 10 years.

• Widow, son or daughter of a deceased civil servant who died while in service: 05 years.
